Michelle Adelman has been a licensed, practicing therapist for over 25 years, holding an M.S.Ed. in Counseling Psychology, providing individual, couple and family therapy. These services focus on many dimensions of healing. Sometimes the healing is within an individual, due to past family trauma, and often the healing is required in order to successfully move forward in a relationship.

In addition, Michelle uses her trainings in many aspects of divorce, including mediation, collaborative divorce, high conflict parenting coordination, and as a family matters GAL to offer co-parent counseling, and Parenting Coordination. This work can be done before, during and after restructuring a relationship due to separation or divorce. This is a very goal-oriented process, empowered by working through a therapeutic lens, as couples learn to shift from conflicting partners to successful co-parents.

Michelle’s clients work with her on a variety of personal goals, many of which involves critical life transitions: to develop their best selves, to become a better intimate partner or parent, or to enhance connections and communication within their family, school, community or workplace.

She is currently accepting clients in both her Fairfield and Greenwich offices.
